David Graeber

David Graeber (1961–2020) was an anthropologist and activist known for works like Debt: The First 5000 Years and his role in the Occupy movement. He challenged conventional ideas about economics, work, and value.

Graeber’s utopian vision emphasized imagination and possibility. He argued that many existing systems are arbitrary and that people can create radically different ways of organizing life, especially through collective action and experimentation.
