Emma Goldman
Emma Goldman (1869–1940) was a powerful speaker and writer who championed free speech, workers’ rights, and women’s liberation. She was deported from the United States for her activism and remained a fierce critic of both capitalism and authoritarian socialism.
Goldman’s utopian vision extended beyond economics to include personal freedom, love, and creativity. She believed a truly free society must liberate individuals in their emotional and social lives as well as in their work.
